The Budget Forklifts boys riding strong in Race 2
Blair Windsor riding strong in the main break of Race 2
Race 2 of The Smoke Free Perth Criterium Series saw the Budget Forklifts team of Daniel Braunsteins, Pete Herzig, Matt Wood and Blair Windsor ride an agressive race by attacking the bunch and ensuring they were represented in every move throughout the race.
Blair made the main break of the race with 6 other riders but after 5 or 6 laps off the front of the flowing Northbridge course, the bunch reeled the break back in after some none riding from riders in the break and hard chasing from Graeme Brown in the bunch.
On the last lap Pete was moving Daniel up down the back straight in readiness for the sprint but the door got closed on them and they got boxed in preventing Dan from being in a great position for the sprint to the line.
So after a great performance by the whole team throughout the race it was a little unfortunate that the boys weren't rewarded for their work. Dan finished 10th.
The boys are pumped to make ammends at tonights Race 3 at Victoria Park!
