Daniel finishes 5th after a great race by Budget Forklifts

Daniel putting the pressure on during Race 3
Once again the Budget Forklifts boys were in every move of Race 3 and were very unlucky not to form the winning move. The winning move came from Adam Semple and Travis Meyer with less than 10mins remaining. Meyer the current Australian Road Race Champion took line honours from Adam Semple with Budget Forklifts rider Daniel Braunsteins finishing a solid 5th behind Graeme Brown and Cameron Meyer.
Early in Race 3 Blair and Daniel were very active making the breaks and controlling the race. Pete had to start near the back of the pack due to a puncture right before the start but managed to slowly move himself forward through the bunch and by the time he got to the front there was only 15 riders left on the demanding Victoria Park street circuit.
When Semple and Meyer got away late in the race it was left up to the Budget Forklifts boys to chase which Pete doing a great job to keep the break within striking distance. Unfortunately Pete and Blair were getting no help from the other riders left in the race who seemed happy to fight it out for the minor placings.
Blair did a great job positioning Daniel for the sprint on the final lap which allowed Daniel to finish a solid 5th behind 2 world champions in Brown and Meyer.
The Budget Forklifts boys were again a dominate force throughout the race and with some luck win get that allusive win soon!
